The West Virginia Music Education Association Annual Conference will be held on March 2nd, 2023 at the Civic Center in Charleston, WV. This conference hosts the WV All-State Chorus in which our school may audition up to 8 students (two per part) to participate. These auditions are rigorous and require interested students to be musically independent on their voice part, have the time to commit to learning the repertoire (about six works), and confidently audition with the material in early February. This audition is of the entire ensemble from Ripley performing portions of the works for a panel of judges, potentially singing alone if asked. Students that pass their audition will rehearse with the all-state choir at the conference and will perform the works at the conclusion of the weekend. The county will provide accommodations and provide a meal stipend.
